MC AUTHORITY:   
$450 (each one)                    

1. Common  AND Contract Authority:

Order Includes: MC and US DOT numbers, BOC-3 (process agent)and  a copy of the permit or certificate on the date it is granted by the FMCSA

2. Broker Authority: 

Order Includes: MC number, BOC-3 (agent) and a copy of the certificate on the date it is granted by the FMCSA 

3. Freight Forwarder:

Order Includes: FF number, BOC-3 and a copy of the certificate on the date it is granted by the FMCSA


TIME SAVING TIP:  After you've applied for your MC Number with the FHWA be sure you organize your insurance filings and follow up with both the FHWA and your insurance agent.  Insurance filings are the most critical aspect in this business to get started.  Always ask for a copy of the filing to verify for yourself that the name and docket number matches EXACTLY.  Any discrepancy will only result in further delay.


 

 

STATE PERMITS: $60(plus state fees)

*UCR (Unified Carrier Registration);

Everyone and anyone with a MC number must have UCR permit. Price depends on the amount of vehicles

 

 IFTA/MILEAGE PERMITS:  $45(plus state fees)

1. IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) - GVW over 26,001lbs (fleet)

Some permits are issued to specific vehicles (VIN) and others are issued to the entire fleet. Depending on the GVW (gross vehicle weight) and if you actually enter these states.
2. KY (KYU) - GVW over 60,000 lbs (VIN)
3. NY (NY HUT)-GVW over 18,001 lbs (VIN)
4. NM (WTD) - GVW over 26,001 lbs (VIN)
5. OR - GVW over 26,001 lbs + a BOND (VIN)


FUEL TAX REPORTING

 4th Qtr IFTA Fuel Taxes are due JAN 31st2012
